- The present invention provides a method for counting a moving object from a real-time surveillance video and the invention is particularly suitable about the people counting application for use by a counting management system. The invention mainly transforms the original video screen of the top down view scene into the feature information and establishes the feature value of the head contour of the pedestrian according to the object to be counted. In the continuous video screen of the same top down view, all of the moving objects are automatically creating a search box respectively. If the previous feature of the head matches the current feature of head in the search box, then to establish a tracking point in matching location. The trajectory of the object is composed of continuous tracking points, which can be counted by the trajectory. The present invention is counted by the feature search method, different from the known technology to establish the background model, so there is no disadvantage of the background model. The present invention can make the count more accurate.

- The method for recognizing an object color in a real-time image proposed by the present invention comprises the following steps: Step 1, obtaining at an original image from an image capturing device or an image storing device. Step 2, generating an object mask image corresponding to the original image. Step 3, providing an interface through an image processing device, the interface presents a color reference index table, for a user to select at least one-color index of the object to be recognized through the interface. Step 4, in a linear color space, each color index corresponds the color range respectively. Step 5, the original image according to the index of the color range of the linear color space and produces a color histogram of the corresponding linear color spaces. Step 6, according to the scope of the object defined by a mask image, the scope of the object corresponds to the pixels of the original image and the pixels convert to the color histogram, with the maximum number of colors through the statistics of the color histogram as the color of the object.
